On Friday, August 22, Celina’s Downtown Square transforms into an open-air cinema just for you. Gates swing open at 7 PM, and as the sun dips below the horizon, we’ll dive into Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid. Pack a picnic, rally your family and friends (even the leashed pups!), and get ready to make memories that sparkle like sea foam.
Event Overview
Movie Night on the Square feels just like a classic drive-in—complete with a colossal inflatable screen, stadium-style bleachers, and sprawling lawn space ready for blankets and low-back chairs. This August’s feature is The Little Mermaid (2023), rated PG, with a runtime of 2 hours and 15 minutes. Whether you settle in the bleachers or sprawl out on the grass, you’ll enjoy every moment of Ariel’s adventure from under the stars.
Pre-Show Activities
Arrive early, around 7 PM, to soak up the fun before the feature begins. Select local vendors will be serving up theatre-style popcorn, sno-cones, and refreshing beverages. Little ones can burn off energy in the Kids Zone, featuring costumed characters, bounce houses, craft stations, and a rotating lineup of games that promise giggles and creative sparks.
What to Bring
To stay comfy and cozy all evening, be sure to pack:
