ICYMI: Celina’s next community park will be located right here IN The Parks at Wilson Creek! Wilson Creek Park, a planned 100-acre park, is an exciting development for the entire town. With even more space to gather as a community, the possibilities for outdoor family fun are endless.
Designed by and for You
Celina residents helped design the park by giving input at meetings and answering surveys about the proposed layouts. The City Planners took two original blueprints and combined them with the help of residents. The City wanted residents to have a park to fit their needs and provide an oasis now and in the future. There will also be a fire station and elementary school adjacent to the park in the near future!
It won’t be long until the ground officially breaks on this exciting development—be on the lookout for updates regarding the phases! Wilson Creek Park will also be built simultaneously with the other new addition, Ousley Park, near downtown Celina. You’ll soon have five parks to enjoy in town! Check out the current parks while you wait for Wilson Creek to open: Old Celina Park, Founders Station Park, and Preston Streams Park.
New Happy Place
Wilson Creek Park will be at the Wilson Creek Corridor on the corner of future Sunset Boulevard and Roseland Parkway, east of Preston Road. City Planners designed the park to blend with nature—just like we designed The Parks at Wilson Creek.
Once the expansive park is complete, The Parks at Wilson Creek residents can take a stroll or bike over to the park for a day of fun, all without leaving the community!
More to Enjoy
You’ll have much to enjoy in Wilson Creek Park without leaving our master-planned community. The park will feature a disc golf course, two pavilions, a playground, a nature play area, multi-use field sports areas and courts, a neighborhood park, a pond, a dog park, an amphitheater, and an event lawn.
Your kids can play ball on the four sports diamonds, practice in the batting cages, and perfect sports techniques on the courts. And you can watch from covered seating areas and grab snacks at the concession stand. Plenty of parking around the perimeter and a paved loop around the park will ensure everyone has easy access to each game.
But that’s not all! You’ll be able to enjoy the natural spaces at any time. Walk or bike on the 1.25-mile paved loop that winds around the park. Take a walk through the interconnecting nature trails in the open spaces. Have a picnic in the park, take your dogs to run and play, or compete in a round of disc golf.
