Get ready for good, old-fashioned fun at Celina’s FREE summer bash on July 1! Splash & Blast will be from 5–10 pm at Old Celina Park—you can eat and play while celebrating our country’s freedom with spectacular fireworks.
Move to the Music
Start the evening dancing with live music from the talented looping musician Jett Platt at 5:00 pm, then sing and sway with the country group Neon Prophets beginning at 6:30 pm. Dance and sing with the headline band, the seven-piece ensemble Extended Play, starting at 8:00 pm.
Texas-born Jett Platt shares his soulful voice as a One Man Band; whether on the guitar or piano, he has an enriched sound and extensive song variety that crosses all genres, from Top 40 to classics to eclectic. Neon Prophets is a Fort Worth-based 90s Country cover band that takes dancing and denim seriously! The headliner, Extended Play, is a high-energy, family-friendly cover band with a reputation for delivering a true variety of music with tasteful arrangements. The band can scale from 5 all the way to 10 pieces. You can request genres like Classic Rock and Top 40, as well as Latin sounds.
Splash and Play
Cool off and splash on water slides, inflatables, and foam pits in the Kids Zone! Kids and littles can climb the rock wall and try to beat the Ninja Nation Obstacle Course (this year’s newest addition to the party!). The weather may be hot in Texas, but you can stay hydrated with free water all night at the Hydration Station.
Eat, Drink, Repeat
Indulge in a mouthwatering feast of the best flavors under one open sky in Food Truck Alley. The event features festival favorites like hot dogs and juicy turkey legs, or you can satisfy your cravings with tantalizing tacos and heavenly desserts. With food this good, you’ll want to go back for seconds or thirds.
Shop for Local Treats
Browse more than 50 vendors showcasing a wide variety of wares all evening. Shop handmade and homemade items, clothing and accessories, and unique local culinary treats. What could be better than purchasing from locals?!
Free Parking
While parking may be limited at Old Celina Park at 12670 FM 428, you can park and take a free shuttle from the lots at Celina High School (3455 N. Preston Road) and Brookshire’s (675 Sunset Blvd.).
Check the Facebook page often as the event day gets closer to keep up with all the latest news and announcements.
